In 2016 we are working with the brand new Woltman 50 PR piling rig and the new 7 ton PVE hammer in Washington DC building a foundation for a 250 unit apartment building owned by Toll Brothers. The construction manager on this site has been Tishman Construction. We are driving 850 pc. of 14 inch square piles in various lengths. The piles are driven with 120 ton bearing capacity with the safety factor of 2. The 7 ton PVE hammer has had no problem mobilizing the pile to have PDA readings of 750+ kips. The jobsite is located in 200 K st., NE, Washington DC which is located downtown, only 2 block from the capitol. The jobsite has been challenging due to its location but also because of the varying soil conditions throughout the jobsite but it was nothing our crew couldn't handle.
